March 6, 1927 – February 26, 2013
It is with great sadness that the family of Anne Bezanson announces her passing at her home Tuesday, February 26, 2013. Anne is predeceased by her husband Bill; parents Margaret and Joseph Kulbida, sister Frances (Joe); niece Faye; cousin Tina; and her daughter-in-law Cindy. She is survived by her children Brenda (Norm) Picard of Calgary, Ron (Annette), grandchildren Aaron and Lindsey of Calgary; and daughter Maureen; as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws and close friends. Anne was born in 1927 and grew up in Saskatoon. Her parents had immigrated from the Ukraine and Anne continued family traditions by cooking up many delicious perogies, cabbage rolls and borscht. Anne had a strong work ethic and served the Saskatchewan Government as a secretary for many years. She met her Bill at the School for the Deaf and married in 1953. Together they worked as a team to make a comfortable home and raise their children in a loving, caring and giving environment. Anne was an avid shopper and was a loyal customer of the Bay and Sears for over 60 years. She was devastated when Eaton's closed their doors. Her shopping pleasures extended to Las Vegas on their winter stays and Moose Jaw special weekends. Her passions were having a clean home and wonderful meals. Her joy of cleaning and doing laundry became her trademark. Her plants felt her loving nature and bloomed continually. She loved card parties and bowled in a league for many years. She had a great sense of humor and a ready laugh. We will always hear her soft giggle and distinct laugh in our minds. We are so blessed to have had her in our lives and will always love and miss her. We are thankful to our long time friend Jeanine who had many adventures with Anne the last few months. A special thanks to Brightwater Senior Living for keeping Anne safe and happy for the last 3 weeks of her life. Donations in Anne's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice. Flowers may be donated to Brightwater Senior Residence in Stonebridge. A Celebration of Anne's life will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home (east on 8th Street, first right past Briargate Road). Online condolences may be sent from Arrangements entrusted to Sten Olesen.
