1944 - 2013
Dorothy Anne Coleman of Conquest, Saskatchewan, passed away on April 4, 2013 after a two year fight against cancer. Dorothy Anne Proctor, or Anne as she preferred to be called, was born in Dublin, Ireland on May 8, 1944. Anne grew up in Northern Ireland near Belfast with her three young sisters Hilary, Mariam and Jean and was raised by her mother Doris Dowan. She was baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when she was 21 and immigrated to Canada in 1967 with a couple of friends. Anne eventually met Wayne Coleman and took his last name. They had six children together Hayley, Reuben, Mark, Aaron, Kevin and Stephen. Her youngest, Stephen died in 1985. Anne's mother died two years previous in 1983. Anne had beaten cancer once before in the late 90's. Anne had done many jobs during her life, from retail, to receptionist, to farm hand; she also worked at the Hope Cancer Help Centre and with her husband Wayne in their business for 18 years. She also served in many capacities at church, in the primary and in the relief society. Perhaps her greatest accomplishments were as mother and wife, she was good at that. Anne is survived by her husband, five of her children, ten grandchildren, her three sisters and hundreds of friends. Our prayers are with them. There will be a time to Meet The Family prior to the Funeral starting at 9:30 a.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 339 Fairmont Drive, Saskatoon. Bishop Butler of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at Woodlawn Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Amanda Starosta of Clements Rosetown Funeral Home (306) 882-2662.
