BOSKER, Berentje
March 15, 1920 - July 5, 2012
It is with sadness, yet with pride for a life well lived that we announce the passing of our Mother, Berentje. Berentje was born in Ten Boer, Groningen (Netherlands). Our Mother overcame many hardships in her 92 years of life; the German Occupation of the Netherlands, the death of her three children, son-in-law and her husband. Her strength and faith are a testament to her remaining children Clara Thomas, John (Karen), Richard (Marilea); grandchildren Edward, Cathy (Paul), Brenda (Dennis), Arnold, Diane (Andy), Brent (Nicole), Brock (Jen), Leonard, Jennette (Nathan) and Gregory; 12 great- grandchildren; nieces and nephews and two remaining siblings Okko and Stein. Berentje was predeceased by her parents Berend and Stein Schreuder; her husband of 47 years Hiltjo; children Berend, Robert and Bernadine; siblings Jan, Hendrika, Freekje and Heinrich and son-in-law Don. Berentje's family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Luther Towers, where she resided for eleven years; the staff at St. Paul's Hospital for their compassionate care during her final days. Donations in Berentje's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan (279 3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK., S7K 2H8). A Private Graveside Service will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home. Family and friends may send online condolences from the website Arrangements entrusted to Megan Kasper.
