ROWLANDS, Brian
July 7, 1945 - January 6, 2013
After a courageous battle with cancer, Brian, better known as Welshy, passed away peacefully at the age of 67 with his family at his side. Brian and his family immigrated to Colonsay, SK in 1976 from Wales to work at the potash mine from which he recently retired. Welshy's greatest passion was rugby; as a player and spectator but most importantly as a coach. He loved being a driving force behind rural rugby and the number of kids he made an impact on is tremendous. Brian will be lovingly remembered by his wife Catherine, children Gareth, Matthew (Rudy), Danielle (Peter) and sister Pat (Colin). Details regarding a Celebration of Welshy's Life, as per his request, will be finalized in the upcoming weeks. An announcement will be made, or you can also email rowlandsmemorial@yahoo.ca.
