Rev. D. Elton Adams November 10, 1930 January 30, 2011 It is with sadness that we say goodbye to a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend into the arms of his heavenly father. He will be loved and remembered by his devoted wife, Vonda and their two daughters, Ann Louise (Doug) Peters their two children Alison (Brody) Coates with children (Taylor and Mayson) and Christopher Peters; Janet (Noland) Schann and Janet's three children David, Joanna and Laura Leonard; and one son Graeme Adams. He is survived by his sister, Doreen Allison and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents D. Talmage and Laura (Winton) Adams of tide Head, New Brunswick and six siblings. Born in Campbelton, New Brunswick, he was ordained June 1955 by the United Church of Canada. He served the United Church on Pastoral Charges in Juniper, New Brunswick, Souris, Prince Edward Island and Winnipeg, Manitoba, coming to Saskatchewan in 1970 to serve in St. David's -Trinity, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and in 1984 to St. Andrew's , Regina, Saskatchewan. Elton retired in 1991 and he and Vonda returned to Saskatoon to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Elton and Vonda travelled extensively and loved seeing the world and meeting many wonderful people. A Memorial Service will be held at St. David's Trinity United Church, Saskatoon Saskatchewan (3318 Merritt St.) February 3, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Interment of cremated remains will take place in Campbellton Rural Cemetery, Campbellton, New Brunswick at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff and doctors at the Royal University Hospital, City Hospital Transitional Unit, and Oliver lodge. A special thanks to Dr. E.C. Kusch and Dr. Roy Chernoff who have been our family physicians for many years. Thanks to Rev. Tom Powell, Chaplin of Oliver Lodge, for his pastoral care to Elton and his family during the time Elton was a resident at Oliver Lodge. Memorial donation may be made to Oliver Lodge Angels of Care Program (1405 Faulkner Crescent, Saskatoon, SK S7L 3R5) or to a charity of the donor's choice.
