FINDING THE BEAUTY IN THE EVERYDAY, thank you Marilyn and Jim. Dallas was born in Swift Current, SK where he did his schooling. Upon graduation, he moved to Saskatoon to study Commerce at the U of S. He took a leave from education for almost 15 years during which time he was employed at McDonald's Consolidated, got engaged to and married Paulette (Funk) and became the proud Dad to his greatest accomplishments, his 2 sons. Saskatoon became home for his much loved family. At age 35, job loss led him back to education at SIAST, where he graduated in the top 3 from IETT. Dallas secured a job at Sasktel where he proudly worked and was awarded an opportunity over the next 23 years to offer his brilliance to many jobs working with many people. Dallas was always willing and hoping to share all that he was. He enjoyed many hobbies, gardening, his pond/fish, reading, salvage, home improvements and owning Chevy trucks, in particular, his Blue '72. Dallas will be remembered for being a kind, caring and compassionate man always wanting to help others. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Rosaleen; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Vivian; and brother-in-law, Larry. Dallas is survived by his wife of 34 years, Paulette; sons, Zachary (Sophie) of Edmonton and Spencer (Erin) of Saskatoon; brother, John (Joan) of Okotoks; sister-in-law, Cheryl (Jim) of Swift Current; as well as nephews, Jay (Elisha) and 2 great-nieces of Calgary; Matthew (Jamie) of Leduc, Mark of Swift Current; niece, Joanne (Marcel) and great-nieces, Chelsea and Alyssa of Cochrane; numerous aunts and uncles, friends and co-workers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SCAT (108- 2750 Faithful Avenue, Saskatoon, SK S7K 6M6) for Dallas' love of animals. He leaves behind family pets, his sweet Lucy, Grandpa's girl Iris, Indie, Sheldon, Leonard and newest addition he did not have the pleasure to meet and get to know, Kya.
