The spirited and enthusiastic life of David Good Delday of Kindersley, SK ended peacefully on August 15, 2013 in his 90th year. David farmed for many years north of Netherhill, before starting his retirement career with race horses. He took great joy in watching things grow - crops, animals, children and relationships. David's leadership ability contributed to many positive activities in the area including: development of the Brock Fodder Mutual, Kindersley Credit Union, Independent Order of Oddfellows, International Agricultural Exchange Association, and most recently to the Kindersley Museum, Canadian Foodgrains Bank and Caleb Village. He received the Saskatchewan Volunteer Medal in 2011 in recognition of his many years of passionate volunteerism. Everyone will remember Dave's quick wit, his interest in all people and in learning their stories, and his genuine concern and love for his friends and family. He was proud to have friends, both old and young, from all over the world. David was always ready to drive around the countryside for a crop tour or to partake in a home-cooked meal, although he became one of the best cooks in Caleb Village! The world is a better place because Dave was in it. David was predeceased by his loving wife Grace (Anderson), his parents George and Mary (Good) Delday, his siblings Mary Stirling, Louisa Archibald and George Delday. He leaves to celebrate his memories, his children: Dianne (Jim) Stinka of Buchanan, SK; Bill (Marcie) Delday of Netherhill, SK; Richard (Lenore) of Ponoka, AB; Allison (Duane) Sarauer of Annaheim, SK and Arlene (Kevin) Warner of Guelph, ON. He leaves 14 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and siblings Jim Delday and Bessie Hammel. A private family interment was held at Eagle Lake Cemetery August 19, 2013.
