The family of Della Wilson is saddened to announce her death which occurred at the Elrose Health Centre on Tuesday, December 18, 2012. Della was predeceased by her parents, John and Alicia Salm; her husband, Bill Wilson; and siblings Mary Gay, Lester Salm, and Ethel Cooney. She is survived by her family, son, Robert (Ellen Feindell) and their children Colin Wilson (Loni Williams) and their son Eric, and Naomi (Shawn) Girling; daughter, Wendy (Kirk) Riglin and their children Meghan (Randy) Nickason and their children Porter, Gage, Kalder, and Cassie Riglin. Della Margaret Salm was born on the farm at Tisdale, SK on January 27, 1922. She was educated at Arpsville School. Upon completion of Grade 12 she attended Robertson's Secretarial School in Saskatoon. Della and Bill were married June 9, 1947. In 1962 they moved from Elrose to Saskatoon where Bill managed DeLaval Milking Equipment and Della worked at Smith-Roles. Retirement brought winters in Mesa and Apache Junction, Arizona, and summers on the golf course. When Della's health began to fail she was pleased to move to St. Volodymyr Villa and appreciated the support of the staff and the opportunity to participate in events. Following more health challenges, she moved back "home" to Elrose. Back in familiar territory with more family was made richer by visits with her precious great-grandchildren. She loved being a "G.G.". Della spent her last few months in the wonderful care of the Elrose Health Centre. Donations in memory of Della may be made to the Elrose Health Centre Auxiliary, 505 Main Street, Elrose, SK, S0L 0Z0. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Park Funeral Chapel, 311 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK with Deacon Bob Williston officiating.
