Dianne Riley
It is with great sadness that the family of Dianne Riley (age 62) announces her passing, on January 7, 2013 at St. Paul's Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, after a courageous 3 year battle with cancer. Dianne was born in Prince Albert, SK. and grew up in Big River, SK, where she attended all of her school years. Dianne married Donald Riley and was married for 45 years, having two sons, Dwayne and Darren. Dianne worked at The Hudson's Bay Company over a span of 27 years, she then went on to work at Shopper's Drug Mart. (Broadway and Taylor). Dianne was very proud of an active 45 year curling career, which included an 8-ender. She followed her kids through hockey, curling and ball and supported her husband Donald during his 23 years as a member of the Masters Fastball Team. She herself was an active member of the W.A.M. group, where she spent many days cheering on the team and spending time with her friends. Dianne enjoyed playing cards and games with her family during gatherings at home and at Wakaw Lake. Dianne is predeceased by her father Joseph L. Joubert and her mother in law, Alice (Ginger) Riley. Dianne is survived by her loving husband Donald Riley, her two sons, Dwayne Riley (Tracy), Calgary, AB, Darren Riley (Tonya) Saskatoon, her mother Olga Joubert, Prince Albert, SK, her brother Lee (Ann) Joubert, California, her sister Sylvia Joubert-Johnson (Dr. Donald) Saskatoon, her father in- law Alvin Riley (Saskatoon), and her many nieces, nephews aunts and uncles.
