ANTILL, Donald Keith
April 19, 1931 – August 26, 2014
With great sadness the family announces his peaceful passing at St. Paul's hospital on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at the age of 83. Don is survived by his wife of 61 years, Doris, his daughter Cheryl (Jake) Fehr and his grandchildren Devon (Angela), Brendan (Jennifer), Ryan and great-grandchildren Arianna, Lucas and Gemma. Also by his son Wayne (Karen) and their children Courtney (Buzz), Brendon, Lucas, Adam (Robin) and their son Nicholas. Don is also survived by his sister Ruth (Robert) Kerslake and his brother Terry (Maxine) Antill. Born and raised in Saskatoon, Don served on the church board at Zion Lutheran Church, was a Cosmopolitan Club member for more than 30 years and took pride in the 40 years that he was employed at the Saskatoon StarPhoenix newspaper progressing from paperboy to Advertising Manager. Many seasons were spent with his family at Waskesiu and Emma Lake. He was a gentle man with endless patience, especially with his favourite hockey team: the Maple Leafs. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home (east on 8th Street, first right past Briargate Road). In lieu of flowers, donations in Don's name may be made to a charity of one's choice. Online condolences may be sent from www.hillcrestmemorial.ca Arrangements entrusted to Basil Forsberg.
