It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Edward Victor Bunker. He was predeceased by his foster parents, Anthony and Genevieve Rissling; brother, Ken Rissling; as well as his birth parents, Victor and Susan Bunker. Edward is survived by his wife of 29 years, Yvette Bunker (Hounjet); his son, Johnathon; daughter, Heather (Kevin) Posnikoff; as well as the joy of his last few months his grandson, Grayson Posnikoff; brothers, Nels Rissling and John Bunker; sisters, Jean Rissling and Kathy (Jim) Bursee; in-laws, John & Anita Hounjet, Dan & Marlene Hounjet; Mark & Celine Hounjet, Rick Hounjet & Michelle Missouri, Tom & Annette Paul as well as numerous nieces, nephews cousins and friends. Ed had a zest for life and enjoyed camping and fishing. He has a love of old cars and especially his Nova. He was a devoted husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. Ed took great joy in the simple things in life and loved to get together and enjoy a coffee and a laugh with friends and family whenever he could. His favorite times were spent with a fishing rod in hand or sitting around a campfire. Ed took great joy in watching his children play softball, volleyball and basketball. His passion carried from a young boy till the end with music whether he was playing guitar or listening to one of his favourite bands. Ed worked for 25 years at the City Hospital in environmental services where he made many good friends. Ed spent the last few years of his life under the caring hands of the Parkridge Staff, where he was welcomed into their family. The family wishes to thank them for all of the love and care he was given. The Vigil for Ed will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18th. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 19th. Both Services will be held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church (211 Avenue O south). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Huntington Society (415 Herold Court, Box 39024, Saskatoon, SK S7V 0A7).
