Eldon married Joyce Oram in 1947 and they homesteaded at Mossy Vail, northeast of Nipawin until construction of the E. B. Campbell Dam, which flooded the homestead and is now part of Tobin Lake. The family moved to Nipawin where he was a partner in Simpson Construction. Eldon then joined the Workers Compensation Board, which brought the family to Saskatoon where he spent the rest of his life. While he was in Saskatoon, Eldon spent some time in Real Estate, then attending Kelsey Institute acquiring his Social Worker training and spent many years working for the Department of Social Services, retiring in 1984. In retirement, Eldon enjoyed traveling the world with Joyce, visiting with friends and family; helping out wherever he could. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and spending hours with his grandchildren. He spent his last few years at Stensrud Lodge. Donations in Eldon's memory may be made to the Mike Adamson Scholarship Fund at the University of Saskatchewan (http://www.myfdu.net/ adams ).
