Beloved mother and grandmother, Eleanore Dorothy Macdonald passed away on December 22, 2012. She was born on April 22, 1936 in Krydor, SK. Her childhood was spent primarily growing up in Saskatoon and she attended Bedford Road Collegiate. She worked in the nursing field in North Battleford in her early 20s before her marriage to Glen Macdonald. She then dedicated her life to raising her children and grandchildren who she loved dearly. She was a special person who touched the lives of many people. Mom was intelligent, witty, and a kind-hearted individual with a strong personality who stood up for the causes, which she believed in. She is survived by her loving children: Karen, Deborah, Brent (Charlene) and Lisa (Martin) as well as her brothers Neville and Robert. She was the proud grandmother of: Courtney, Ali, Dylan, Alex, Austin, Taylor and Zachary. Eleanore was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Anna Buzik. Mom was a compassionate and caring individual who always put others before herself. She had several interests and hobbies. Mom was an avid card player and she loved reading because of her thirst for knowledge. She was a fantastic cook, enjoyed decorating, traveling and spending time with her many friends. She had a beautiful singing voice and she liked to go to musicals and plays. Above all else, she was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She was the past President of the Mental Health Association and she had a great passion for politics like her parents, acting as a Returning Officer in many provincial elections.
