GORDON SIKORSKY
With sadness, the family of Gordon Sikorsky wishes to announce his peaceful passing on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Porteous Villa. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 56 years, Marilynn and sons Dwayne (Karen), Daryl (Cheyenne), Cam (Rhonda), and Kevin (Michelle); grandchildren Aaron (Jolene), Justin, Evan (Genevieve), Andrea (Tyler), Chris, Brandon, Molly and great grandson Rome. Gordon is also survived by sisters Sandra Parno, Frances Edelman, Iris Campbell, Darlene (Joe) McMahon, Frieda (Hal) Robinson and brother Edward (Judy) Sikorski, brother-in-law Al Lutz and sister-in- law Nadya Sikorsky. Predeceased by his father Fred and mother Catherine (Daviduke), brother Myrle, sisters Evelyn, Edith, Genevieve and Deanna (Lutz) and brothers- in-law Ed Parno, Larry Edelman and Ken Campbell. Gordon was born on May 26, 1931 in Saskatoon and raised in Goodeve, SK. He returned to Saskatoon at the age of 19 to start his career in management. He met his soul mate Marilynn and they married in June of 1956. Together they raised four sons and spent many happy hours at their cottage at Blackstrap Lake. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 1 pm at Third Avenue United Church, 304 - 3rd Ave., N., Saskatoon, Sk. Interment to follow at Woodlawn cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to MARTENS WARMAN FUNERAL HOME (934-4888).
