HENRY KRAUS
It is with profound sadness the family announces the sudden and peaceful passing of Henry Kraus on Monday, November 5th, 2012 at RUH Intensive Care Init. He was born on June 21, 1918 in Wakaw SK. Left to mourn his passing is his devoted wife Mary, sons Sheldon (Beth); Jerome (Laurie), grandchildren Blair (Kristen, Eliza, Katie), Aaron (Corinne, Nicholas, Rebecca), Bradley (Christopher), Brenda (Bart, Sidney) and Derek. His brother Edward, numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Dennis, his parents Michael and Elizabeth; brothers Michael, Ignace, John, Joe and Stephen and sisters Mary, Eva, Elizabeth, Katherine and step-father George Hepp. Henry attended Dunafoldvar School then rented the homestead, eventually purchasing it from the family. In semi-retirement, He worked at the Lakeview Pioneer Lodge and Regional Park Golf course. His greatest moments were fishing and sharing one bottle of beer with his grandchildren at the cottage when Grandma was not watching. The family wish to thank the staff of St. Michael's Haven, Rosthern Regional Hospital and RUH plus the doctors for their kindness and compassionate care. At his request, there will be no funeral service. A Memorial will be held when all his grandchildren can be present. Donations in memory of Henry may be directed to St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Box 795, Wakaw SK S0K 4P0 or to St. Micheal's Haven, Box 220, Cudworth SK S0K 1B0.
