John was born the oldest of five sons to Peter and Rosie Bezmutko. John is survived by his wife of 58 years, Annie; his son Larry, wife Jeannie and their daughter Jenna; his daughter Darlene; his son James, wife Sylvia and their son Tyler; his brother Mike, wife Rose, and their family; and his sister-in-law Elizabeth. He was predeceased by his parents; his son Gordon; as well as his brothers Bill, Sam, and Tony. Dad was a farmer and he just loved his farm. When things were tough, he took a job at Cory Potash Mine that lasted 17 years. He instilled a strong work ethic in the kids and was a wonderful provider. Prayers will be held at 7:30 pm on Thursday August 30, 2012. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 31, 2012 with Reverend Father Taras Udod officiating. Both services will be held at the Descent of the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Hafford, Saskatchewan. The family have requested that memorial donations be made to Descent of the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Orthodox Church or to the Canadian Cancer Society. Interment will take place at the Hafford Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery.
