The family returned to Canada in 1964 and settled in and around Saskatoon, SK living his pre-teen and teen years at Pike Lake, SK. He studied then worked in the plumbing and heating field. After continuing his education he was proud and worked hard where he eventually formed his own successful company. Don and his family always looked forward to camping at Eagle Creek. He said that food seemed to taste better, especially BBQ'd burgers. He and his dogs were tied at the hip and ankles so to speak. Don loved his entire family and friends greatly and was always there for them and held a special place in his heart for his little brother. He was respectful and accepting to the beliefs and faiths of all people who universally came to his side. He spoke truthfully and without reservation all ways. Don took great care in everything he'd accomplished giving of his heart where ever it was needed.
