Kenneth "Ken" Stevens
Ken age 69, passed away peacefully on November 14th, 2012. Ken was born in Moose Jaw, but grew up and attended school in Assiniboia. He served with the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Radar and Communication Technician and later worked in the Computer/Office Equipment industry in Saskatoon for much of his working years at IBM, Western Business Machines and NEMA Office Products. He also worked for Brigadier Security Systems Ltd. and then worked as a custodian for the Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools and retired from his position at Holy Cross High School in 2008. He was a Knight of Columbus, a Firearm Instructor, Hunter Education Instructor and a devoted member of the Saskatoon Wildlife Federation. Ken was also very civic minded and served as a counsellor for the Resort Village of Mistusinne, where he loved boating, fishing and swimming on Lake Diefenbaker with his family. Ken is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie of 46 years; sons, Curtis (Natacha) and Rodney (Monique); grandchildren, Corban, Ronan, Jacinthe and Luke; brother, Larry (Sharon) Stevens as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Vigil for Ken will be held on Tuesday, November 20th at 7:00 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 21st at 10:30 a.m. Both services at the Cathedral of the Holy Family (123 Nelson Road). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saskatoon City or RUH Hospital Foundation or St. Ann's Senior Citizens Village.
