Leslie passed away peacefully with family nearby on January 2nd, at his home in Saskatoon. Leslie was predeceased by his life partner Florence Poorman, his parents Alfred and Hariet and his sisters Alice, Cecilia, and Lenora. He is survived by brothers Wally and George; children Earl Magnuson, Bob Magnuson, Marlene Roy, and Eva Bereti; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Leslie's life brought him down many paths, starting in Canada's military, transitioning to the life of a carpenter, and finally finishing his working career with the commissionaires. Leslie throughout his life enjoyed the outdoors very much. Up until his later years he would accompany many on hunting and fishing trips around the province. He often lamented how he loved to be in Mother Nature away from the stress of the city. Les, was beyond a generous man who shared with many everything he had. On many occasions his generosity exceeded any expectations whether it be his time or contributing money to his nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and other causes. Leslie will be truly missed due to his good sense of humour, always ready and willing to lighten the mood of any circumstance. Leslie's generosity and love of those around was evident by the array of people he interacted with. He will be missed by many. A Celebration of Leslie's life will be held at the Indian Metis and friendship center in Saskatoon (168 wall St.) at 5:30 p.m.
