Linda Steckler
It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Linda Joyce Steckler, on September 4, 2014. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and dear friend. Linda was predeceased by her mother Mary and survived by her father Harold; brothers, Brian (Alice), Bill (Gloria); nephews, Mark (Bobbi), Matthew (Stephanie); nieces, Maeghan and Breann. Linda was born in Yorkton SK on December 25, 1958. Early in her life, the family moved to Saskatoon where she grew up and attended Thornton School, Prince Philip School, Walter Murray Collegiate and Robertson Business College. Throughout her working years she made many lifelong friends and was employed by the University of Saskatchewan at the time of her passing. Linda enjoyed life to the fullest. Camping trips and numerous trips abroad with friends and family were among her favorite pastimes. Special thanks to Dr. Florence Wardell for her compassion and friendship over the past 30 years. Thank you to Palliative Home Care nurse Helen and to the many kind, compassionate nurses at St. Paul's Palliative Care who cared for Linda this past month. Thanks to Pastor Roy Hewko for his support during this difficult time.
