Madeleine Lucille Marie Gareau
Madeleine, aged 91, of Saskatoon (formerly of Bellevue) died peacefully on February 9, 2013, at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon, SK surrounded by her family. She is survived by her children, Claude, Emilienne, Marcel, Aline, Simone, Irène, Georgette, Gaston, Laurent, and Jocelyne as well as their partners; 30 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Yolande (Saül Théorêt), Rita Prince; brother, Sylvio (Norma) Gaudet ; and sister-in-law, Odile Pouliot. Madeleine was predeceased by her husband, Georges; her parents, Adrien and Valéda Gaudet; her brother, Maurice; sisters, Yvette, Laurence, Gilberte, Carmen and Emilienne. A public viewing will take place Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Mourning Glory Funeral Services, 1201 8th Street East, Saskatoon. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 13, at Église Saints Martyrs Canadiens, 1007 Windsor Street, Saskatoon. Rite of Committal will follow at Bellevue Cemetery, after the luncheon. If people so desire, a donation may be made to the CNIB, 1705 McKercher Drive, Saskatoon, S7H 5N6. The family would also be grateful for donations for masses in Madeleine's memory. Online condolences to the family may be sent through www.mourningglory.ca. The family is extremely grateful for the loving care extended to Madeleine at Prairie Springs Care Homes. Thank you also to the staff at St. Paul's Hospital who tended to her in her last hours.
