Mary Susan Adair (nee Squires) November 2nd, 1949 January 11th, 2011 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Mary, age 61, on the evening of January 11th, 2011 at St. Paul's Hospital, Saskatoon. Mary was surrounded by her loving family who will miss her dearly. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Sydney and Dulcie Squires. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Ernest; daughter, Angela (Kelly) Mears and their daughter Jessie-Ann; son, Devin (Lynette) and their children Brendan, Kaylee, Kelsey and Tanner; sisters, Dorothy (Bud) Hobbs, Blanche (Gordon) Sych, Carol (Don) Thompson, Gladys (Nelson) Boyd; brothers, Henry (Billie-Jean) Squires, Glenn (Shelah) Squires, Don (Marion) Squires, Reg (Vicki) Squires; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Mary was born in Tisdale, SK and raised in Valparaiso, SK. Mary was very athletic and was involved in lots of school activities and sports. At age 19 she graduated in the first graduating class of Registered Nurses from Kelsey Institute in 1969. Mary started working at St. Paul's Hospital and worked in various departments over the last 41 years. She was currently working in the Ambulatory Care department. Family was the most important thing to Mary. Mary gave us her unconditional love, unfailing loyalty and guidance. She was extremely proud of her grandchildren and especially treasured her time with them. Mary loved spending time with her family and was grateful to have a loving husband. Mary also cherished the many friendships she made throughout the years. A Celebration of Mary's Life will be held Tuesday, January 18th, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home (east on 8th St., first right past Briargate Road). Interment of Mary's cremated remains will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so, may make a donation to the charity of their choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Hillcrest Funeral Home 477-4400.
