HOOVER, Neil Frederick
The family of Neil Frederick Hoover is saddened to announce his passing on January 21, 2013 in Moose Jaw. His wife Marion provided him with love and care throughout his illness. He was a loving husband to Marion, a strong and loving dad to his three children, Susan (Murray), Bill and Maria and an indulgent Grandpa (Bubba) to his three grandchildren, Sean, Adam and Kevin as well as a good friend to many extended family members. All that knew him are left with great memories. Neil was born in Saskatoon; a younger brother to Peggy Marleau. His love for sports never faltered his whole life as he either was participating in a sport, coaching or running a skating school with Bert Hunt. Bert and Dad met many new friends during the summers at the Moose Jaw and Prince Albert hockey schools. Later he became an armchair fan to many teams and sports. Dad began his career with Sasktel in Saskatoon, finishing his career in Moose Jaw. Dad's passion, generosity and selflessness showed through his dedication to his family and friends. He never met a person he could not befriend. The family would like to thank his special friends Bert Hunt, Anne and Dale Marciszyn, Kay and Donna Dessert for their support during his illness. In keeping with Dad's wishes a private family service will be held. The family will be planning a memorial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Neil to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 279 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon, S7K 2H8.
"A Loved One is not gone,
until they are forgotten!
And to Live in the Hearts of those
left behind is to Live Forever!"
In living memory of Neil, a memorial planting will be made by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home. Please sign the memorial register book at website: (Obituaries) Gerry Mitchell – Funeral Director
