Patrick Gordon Mooney Sr.
Our father, grandfather, brother of Saskatoon was taken to his heavenly home on February 11, 2013 at the age of 83. He was born in Zealandia January 15, 1930. He was the 3rd youngest of nine children. Patrick graduated from Rosetown High School and then obtained a Law Degree from U of S. Married Joan Schellenberg in 1954 and they were blessed with five children. There were many happy weekends spent at Emma Lake, visiting relatives. Patrick loved his family and was proud of them. In 1966 Patrick's drive for excellence carried him on to be the youngest lawyer appointed to Provincial Court serving Wynyard, Yorkton and Prince Albert. He spent many years as a Judge before severe hearing loss made him move on to become City Solicitor in Prince Albert. In 1989 Pat retired. Patrick loved traveling in car, plane and trusted camper van, every year to the east and west coast. He was known by his grandchildren as "Papa Mooney" the candy man, always joking around, cooking favorites for the kids, watching Bugs Bunny cartoons and doing whale imitations at the beach. Patrick was predeceased by his parents, his siblings; Russell, Douglas, Sam, Shirley and Margaret, his grand daughter Chantelle Harder. He will be lovingly remembered by his children; Patrick Jr. and Michele, Joseph and Terry, Russell, Kevin and Lori, Moira (Mooney) Harder; grandchildren Rusty, Mckenzie and Andrea Harder. Sisters Edna and Gerry, and brother Stuart. In keeping with Pat's wishes their will not be service at this time.
