Richard, age 41, passed away peacefully at home in his sleep. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Mary Ann; his siblings, Donald (April) Mardin; Jackie (Dan) Reid; Clayton Therrien (Melodie Fesciuc); Liza (Rob) Allen; his birth mother, Sylvia Clapson; Uncle Mac, Aunt Lil, Aunt Pauline; nieces and nephews, Michelle, Derrick; Chris, Kevin, Keith; Holly, Clayton Jr., Tabitha, Leanne, Richard; Ryan and was called uncle by many other special children. Richard was predeceased by his parents, Rheal and Marjorie; and mother-in- law, Peggy Wegren. Richard was born and raised in the North Bay, Ont. area and moved to Saskatoon in 1992. He worked at Sherbrooke, Luther Care Home, and RUH. Although Richard dealt with serious illness and pain most of his life, he lived his life with enthusiasm, passion and laughter. He was an avid hockey fan, devoted to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Most of all he loved his family and friends, but he loved Mary Ann more than life itself. The Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 22nd at Emmanuel Baptist Church (1636 Acadia Drive). Memorial donations may be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation (Box 430, Sub Box 6, Saskatoon, SK S7N 0W0) or The Bridge on 20th (1320-20th St. W., Saskatoon, SK S7M 0Z2).
