SANDRA HERMAN
1951 - 2013
It is with a profound sense of sadness that the family of Sandra May Herman (nee Stich) announces her passing on Tuesday, February 19th 2013 following a lengthy, courageous and inspiring battle with multiple sclerosis. Born on February 5, 1951 in Melville, Saskatchewan, Sandra spent her youth living on the family farm before moving to Regina where she met John, her husband of 42 years. In 1976, Sandra moved to Saskatoon with her young family where she lived until her passing. Diagnosed with MS in 1983, Sandra's physical condition quickly deteriorated but her positive attitude, zest for life and welcoming smile never faded. Left to mourn is Sandra's husband, John; her children Scott (Jos) Herman, Sean (Heather) Herman and Chris Herman; granddaughters Kristen Herman and Kaylie Herman; brothers Les, Harley and Don Stich; sister Marjorie Ross (Stich) and numerous nieces and nephews. Sandra was predeceased by her parents. It is important to Sandra that special thanks be extended to her caregivers and friends at Saskatoon Home Care and Sherbrooke Community Centre. It was this support that allowed her to remain living in her family home until the time of her passing, something that meant so much to her. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 23rd 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at Saskatoon Funeral Home (4th Ave. & 25th St.) with interment following at Woodlawn Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to mail@saskatoonfuneralhome.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Saskatoon Funeral Home. 244-5577
