Selma Marie Greyeyes (nee Durocher)
April 4, 1962 - January 20, 2014
It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Selma Greyeyes. After a courageous battle with cancer, Selma passed away peacefully Monday morning at the age of 51 years old. She spent her last days in the comfort of her home surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by her loving husband Lawrence (Boss); children Milton, Natasha and David (Erika); granddaughter Denelle; parents Dominque & Leona Durocher; siblings Ricky Bear, Darlene Cheze (Alfred), Gerald Durocher (Della), Debra Benson (Lynale) and Dennis (Joe Bear) Durocher (Carol); adopted sister Susanna Wollman (Levi); as well as numerous aunts, uncles, in- laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Selma is predeceased by her grandparents Alex & Annie Durocher, Baptist & Glecia (Nehiyaw) Bear; mother-in-law, Dr. Freda Ahenakew; and nephews Kelsey Durocher and Travis Bear. Family meant everything to Selma, she took great pride in her roles as a wife, mother and especially as a kohkom to her sweetheart Denelle. Selma will be remembered fondly as a loving, compassionate and hardworking woman with unfailing faith. She will be greatly missed by the many people whose lives she touched. Prayers will be held at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Marcelin, Sk. on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will take place at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Marcelin, Sk. on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Muskeg Lake Youth Development. Arrangements are entrusted to MARTENS WARMAN FUNERAL HOME (306-934-4888).
