Percy SUMMACH Obituary
December 20, 1926 – September 23, 2013
Passed away peacefully at the age of 86 at Circle Drive Alliance Personal Care Home. He was the youngest of a family of 9 children. He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife Wilma and children: Connie deceased 2012 (Gord) Turner, Larry (Brenda) Summach, Mark (Anne) Summach, grandchildren: Cody (Bretta) Turner, Kyle (Carley) Turner, Melissa, Michelle (Mike), Mandy, Courtney, Rosalyn and great grandchildren: William, Noah, Crew and sisters Della Felske and Loris Smith. Predeceased by his daughter Connie, brothers Eldon, Harvey, Wilf and Ray, sisters Jean and Maureen. Mick was an active member in Asquith Baptist Church and its music ministry, town council, school board, Asquith Rink and Curling Club. Mick was born and raised on the family farm in the Avondale district and continued to farm there with his dad and brothers Ray and Wilf until he retired in 1991. Mick and Wilma enjoyed many winter breaks to Arizona and made lots of new friends. Music was always a big part of those holidays as well. After that Mick and Wilma moved to Luther Heights in Saskatoon in 2001. Mick will always be remembered for his love for grandchildren, musical talent, practical joking among other things. One thing dad always looked forward to over the past years was tractor pulling at the exhibition and competing against his cousin Manley whether it be for the shiniest tractor or the pull itself. A Memorial Service will be held at Forest Grove Community Church, 502 Webster Street at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday Sept. 28, 2013, officiated by Rev. Wayne McLaren with a celebration lunch to follow. Dear Wilma and family
I received the message of Mick's passing from Ron Summach yesterday and was saddened to hear of his homegoing, but rejoice that he is with the Lord and all the members of the Summach family who have gone before. I have many memories of how he used to tease Charlene and I and we had so much fun and I will not forget. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Dear Aunt Wilma & Family,

I still refer to the house in Asquith as Uncle Mick's place.

Mick was actually my second cousin, but I've always known him as "Uncle Mick". As a kid I fondly remember his good hearted teasing about my haircut as "the boy in the Sears catalog" and his many jokes and comic antics on hunting trips with Dad. He was never without that big grin, and I'll always remember his good nature. I'm sure he's grinning in heaven now.
