Kathleen Banman
October 31, 1936 – February 6, 2014
Kathleen passed peacefully at the age of 77 years on Thursday February 6, 2014. She was born on a farm south of Herbert, SK and then attended Caronport Bible School for three years during which times she met Henry, her husband, of 55 years. Together they had three children. There was no end to her creativity, ability and energy to extend a helping hand to family, friends, neighbors and strangers. Artist, seamstress, carpenter, entertainer, gardener, president of woman's cubs, heart and lung fundraiser coordinator, and so much more. Besides her commitment to community and church, once the kids were in school, she was a treasured employee with several companies. She was also self- employed as an oil on canvas artist. Kathleen is survived by her husband Henry, two daughters Lynette (Neil) and Marcia, daughter-in-law Lauren and grandchildren Carly, Cole, Josie and Shrianne; sisters Selma, Justine-twin, Betty and brother Neil. She is predeceased by her son Ron, sisters Hannah and Helen, brothers Norman and Paul. Kathleen also leaves Henry's brothers George, Jake, and David; sister Helen. She is predeceased by Henry's sister Sarah and brother Abe. Viewing will be held on Tuesday February 11, 2014, 7:00 p.m. at Dalmeny Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at Forest Grove Community Church, 502 Webster Street, Saskatoon, SK on Wednesday February 12, 2014 1:00 p.m. with interment to follow.
