Vera Jane (Lynn) Reddekopp
Jane passed into eternity February 11, 2014. Jane was born in Burnaby, Ontario November 12, 1931 to Curtis Lynn and Muriel Kaufman. Jane spent her early years in the country, teen and early adulthood in Dunnville, Ontario where she and her siblings were kept busy helping in their father's bakery. She enjoyed the love and intimacy of a close family and Godly parents. Jane met her husband John, a transplanted prairie boy, at a church picnic. They wed on February 2, 1952 in Dunnville, Ontario. After spending their first years in St Catharines, Ontario they moved to Saskatchewan and resided in Dalmeny where Jane supported John in all his career directions. In 1965 the family pulled up stakes and returned to Ontario until 1967. Jane very much enjoyed being re-united with her close family during this time. In 1967 it marked the return to Saskatchewan for full-time family farming. The few short years on the farm (1967 - 1979) were very busy but very shaping years for the whole family. In 1979 John and Jane "semi-retired" to Dalmeny. John passed away in 2001 and Jane remained in Dalmeny until 2006. Jane moved to an apartment in Saskatoon that year and in 2008 moved to Bethany Manor. Jane always enjoyed the company of many friends made over the years in Dalmeny and at Bethany Manor and felt very blessed to have them. She made many trips over the years but the vast majority marked her major interest... not vacations, but family. Jane was predeceased by husband John, her parents Muriel and Curtis, parents-in-law Aron and Susie, daughter-in-law Linda, grandson Curtis, and sister Mary June. She is survived by her sons David (Linda), Don (Laurie), Darrell (Shannon), Mark (Lyn), Wade (Kim), many grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother John, sister Joy, sister Janet, twin sister Joan, and brother David. Jane was intensely loved and will be extremely missed. Thank you to all the kindness and love shown by extended family and all friends at Bethany Manor. A special heartfelt thank you to all the staff from Home Care and the Palliative Care Unit at St Pauls Hospital. Your care and compassion was exceptional. Funeral Service will be held at Lawson Heights Alliance Church, 159 Pinehouse Dr, Saskatoon, SK on Monday February 24, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Donations in lieu of flowers to Gideons International are gratefully accepted. Interment to follow at Dalmeny Bible Church Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to DALMENY FUNERAL HOME (306-254-2022).
