MEYERS, Frances
It is with sadness that the family of Frances Joanne Meyers announces her sudden passing in her home on February 23, 2014 at the age of 63 years. Frances, with her twin Kathy, was born at St Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon to Howard and Margaret Meyers. Frances was a quiet child and enjoyed being with animals, reading and listening to music. She loved music of the '60s. After the death of her husband, Fran lived alone. Her two loves were her birds that adored her and her garden that we all enjoyed. She lived in the same neighborhood she was born in for her entire life. Neighbors liked her quiet ways and her respect for their privacy. Fran is survived by her twin Kathy Gibson, her brother and sister- in-law, Lee and Lin Meyers, her nephew Warren Balaski, her aunt Edie Preston and Edie's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, her parents, her sister Deb Meyers and her brother Ken Meyers. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the SPCA (5028 Clarence Ave. S Saskatoon, SK S7T 1A7). They are caring for her beloved birds until a suitable home can be found. Thank you to everyone who knew Fran. She had many struggles in her life, but she had the ability to keep getting up each day and living her life as best she could. She was always ready to talk, to laugh with and to help out her family in any way she could. She will be missed by all who knew her. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens (east on 8th St., first right past Briargate Rd). Please arrive by 1:45 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home to proceed to graveside. Family and friends may send online condolences from Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Sten Olesen.
