The family of Betty Kalesnikoff are deeply saddened to announce Betty's sudden passing on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the age of 83 years. She grew up on a farm near Blaine Lake, SK. Betty married the love of her life, Peter, in 1949. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother known for her generosity and kindness. Betty was predeceased by her husband Peter and parents, William and Polly Kalmakoff. Betty will be lovingly remembered by her children Patricia (Randy) Gillies and Doug (Karen) Kalesnikoff; grandchildren Rob (Megan) Gillies, Dan Gillies, Nicole Kalesnikoff (Daved Meakin) and Matthew Kalesnikoff; great grandchildren Kara and Chloe Gillies; brother Bill (June) Kalmakoff; sisters-in-law Susan Denusik and Wilma (Maurice) Solonynko and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. At Betty's request, a private family service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Charmaine Menard.
