Mom was born and raised in Allan, Saskatchewan, the second youngest of nine children born to J.J. and Matilda Weninger. Upon graduation she moved to Saskatoon and worked at the CIBC Bank. It was during this time she met and married our Dad, Paul on September 5, 1955. Dad's teaching career took them to Meacham, Kandahar, Creston and Allan, after which they settled in Saskatoon. Mom enjoyed playing bridge and card games, painting, camping, cooking and baking. She was the number one fan of the All-O-Matic A's and Rempel Brother's fastball teams. Mom loved the 5th wheel camper. Her and Dad logged many miles across Canada and the US. Mom supported Dad's careers both in Provincial and Civic politics attending many functions with him. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Luther Special Care Home. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make donations are asked to consider the Alzheimer's Society (301 – 2550 12th Ave., Regina, SK S4P 3X1). Even though Mom is gone her baking recipes will live on. A Memorial Service for Victoria will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. from Hillcrest Funeral Home (east on 8th Street, first right past Briargate Rd) with Memorial Reception to follow.
