Julianne Pouwells
February 28, 1935 - April 3, 2014
Julia Pouwells, age 79, passed away peacefully with family at her side at St. Ann's Place April 3, 2014. Julia was a loving and caring wife and mother to her five daughters. She farmed with her husband for many years. She was an amazing gardener, baker and cook. Julia loved music and dancing as well as socializing. She was of great faith and an inspiration to all she knew. Julia was a dear mother to her daughters, Melinda (Ken) McKay and their children, Rhianne, Brendan, Sarah and Devin; Claudette (Charles) Krikau and their children, Christine and Amanda; Nadine (Greg) Ager and their children, Camille (great-grandchildren, Finn and Colt), Savannah, Buck and Decker; Renita (Dan) Mannion and their children, Matthew and Michael; Lynnette (Ron) Pomerleau and their children, Chelsey and Dylan. Mom was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Arnold; parents, Frank and Alma Hordos; sister, Alma Deutsch; brother, Joseph Hordos, and nephews, Sidney Deutsch and Leon Hordos. The Vigil for Julianne will be held at St. Ann's Chapel (2910 Louise Street, Saskatoon) on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church (Quinton, SK). Rite of Committal will take place in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery (Quinton, SK). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lung Association or the Quinton Cemetery Care Fund.
