Robert "Bob" CHERNESKI
March 1939 – May 2014
It is with great sadness that we are announcing the passing of Bob suddenly at home in his sleep. He is fondly remembered by his loving wife Kathy of 49 years, sons Rob and Kelly (Cindy), grandchildren Matthew and Katie, and sister Rosalie (Bill). He was predeceased by his son Kevin, nephew Chris, parents Alex and Anne, sister Darlene and her husband Lawrence. He will be remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and his faithful dog and best friend Remy. Bob was well known in curling and golf circles and was an avid fan of all sports especially the Yankees, Packers, Maple Leaf's and his beloved Riders. Bob worked at Federated Co- op for 34 years and he not only loved his job but was admired by all that worked with him. Bob was also very generous with his time giving back to Holiday Park Men's Section, major curling events and golf events. A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held on Monday, May 26 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home (east on 8th St, first right past Briargate Rd). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson's Society Saskatchewan ( Family and friends may send online condolences from Funeral arrangements entrusted to Paula Olson.
