Betty Kisby
August 6, 1923 - June 6, 2014
A feisty, humorous, generous, loving lady has joined her soul mate Stan (Feb 9, 2014). Betty was born in the City of York, Yorkshire, England. She lived in Hull, England until the 2nd World War broke out. She joined the Royal Air Force and while serving her country, met and married the love of her life, Stan Kisby whom she spent 69 years with. In 1945 they came to Saskatoon where they raised their family and became strong community members. Betty didn't know when she would ever see her family again but over the years was able to travel back home to England many times. Betty's greatest joys were being a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and travelling all over Europe and Canada with Stan. Mom asks that you remember happy times spent with her that were filled with laughter and love. Left to cherish all the good times are daughters Maxine Medhurst (Godfrey), Lynda Kisby, Wendy Petrishen (Wade), Mavis Waddell (Bob), 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Email condolences may be sent to mail@saskatoonfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are entrusted to Saskatoon Funeral Home (306-244-5577).
