Todd Robertson Forbes
Todd Robertson Forbes passed away on June 20, 2014 at the age of 23 as a result of injuries sustained in a dirt biking accident less than two weeks prior. Todd was born April 6, 1991 in Macklin, SK. He is the son of Murray and Gail Forbes and the youngest brother of Tyson Forbes and Jamie Derksen. Todd attended school from K-2 in Senlac, then Grades 3-12 in Macklin. He was active in many sports and activities throughout his school years including hockey, track and field, volleyball, soccer, and baseball. Todd excelled in academics as well as sports all throughout his life. His biggest passion during his younger years was hockey and he played for the Macklin Mohawks from age 7 until 16, then played 'AA' hockey for the Unity Lazers during Grade 12. After graduating from High School, he moved to Lloydminster where he worked in an automotive shop installing aftermarket accessories. Todd spent two years in Lloydminster and decided that Autobody was a career he wanted to pursue. Then he moved to Saskatoon, where he worked for Cutting Edge Collision. After only one year with the company, he was promoted to 'Head Painter' which was a position he was extremely efficient and talented at. Todd completed two years of autobody apprenticeship training at SIAST in Saskatoon. In the last three years of his life, he has spent much of his winters playing Sr. hockey with the Hafford Mustangs and much of his summer on his dirt bike. Todd was a member of Darkside Moto, the freestyle motocross group that was showcasing their talents on June 8th when he had his accident. Todd leaves to mourn his parents, Murray and Gail; brother, Tyson (Tara); sister, Jamie (Brandon); nephew, Bennett; his dog, Bailey; his grandparents, Les and Edith Christensen and Doreen Forbes, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. A Celebration of Todd's Life will be held Saturday, June 28th at 2:00 p.m. at the Macklin Communiplex, Hwy 31, Macklin, SK. The Forbes family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the Martensville Fire Department, MD ambulance, the entire ICU staff at RUH and everyone who visited, brought food and sent condolences.
