PIUS BECK
November 4, 1930 – June 22, 2014
It is with saddened hearts that our family announces the passing of Pius Beck. Dad passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the Sherbrooke Community Centre. He is survived by his wife Margaret (Cain) Beck; his children Rodney (Sandy) Beck; their children Renee (Adam) Erdman, Noelle (Mike) Kembel, Brock Bec,; Tom (Cindy) Beck and their children Meagan (Jeff) Dupuis, Halie Beck, Jared (Sherry) Beck their children Cole and Brennan Beck, Sheila (John Galley) Beck, Joelle (Mark) Besse and their daughters Stephanie and Lauren Besse; by four great- grandchildren; his sisters and brothers Regina Boyne, Theodore Beck, Helen Beck, Jacob (Iva) Beck and by numerous nieces and nephews. Pius was predeceased by his parents Kasper and Katherina Beck; brothers and sisters Roy (Magdelina) Beck, Eva (Anton) Usselman, Marcus (Francis) Beck, Tony (Amy) Beck, Caroline (Thomas) Brandel, Joseph (Lilian) Beck, Martha (William) Nakonechny, Katherina (Harold) Boyne, Mathew Beck, Anna (Tony) Parro, Francis (Frank) Stewart, Roseanne (John) Silbernagel and brother-in-law George Boyne. Dad was born to Kasper and Katherina Beck on a farm at South Allan. He grew up and was the fourth youngest sibling of 17 children. He married Margaret Cain on November 6, 1951, and started their family on a farm at Allan. They had three sons and two daughters. Later in life they moved into the city of Saskatoon. His love of farming and family always kept him busy. Dad lived in a personal care home for about seven years and then moved to a nursing home for about three years where his last days were peaceful. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from Park Funeral Chapel, 311 - 3rd. Ave. North, Saskatoon officiated by Very Reverend Father Ken Beck.
