The family of Marion Markson sadly announce her peaceful passing on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at St. Paul's Hospital after a brief illness at the age of 92. She was the last surviving granddaughter of James Clinkskill, the first mayor of Saskatoon. Marion was predeceased by her husband, Sam Markson (2000); nephew, Allan Smith (2000); brother, Bud Smith (2001); sisters-in-law, Mary Smith (2008), and Joanne Smith (2009). She is survived by her brother, Jim Smith; son, Leon Markson; grandsons, Clayton (Whitney) and Chad; 4 great- grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Paul's Hospital for Marion's care during her last days. A special thank you to Milena for her love and exceptional care during Marion's stay in her care home. Marion requested no Memorial Service. The family will gather privately at a later date. Cremation. Donations may be made to the Salvation Army or a charity of your choice. Arrangements are in care of MARTENS WARMAN FUNERAL HOME (306-934-4888).
