Justina Doerksen (nee Harder) was born near Aberdeen, SK. on September 11, 1925. She accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Saviour at revival meetings in Aberdeen when she was 16 years old. She was baptized by Rev. Henry Martens in the Bergthal Church in Aberdeen in 1943. She married Ben Doerksen on July 2, 1944 in Aberdeen. She died in her sleep on June 28, 2014 at Porteous Lodge. Public Visitation will be held on July 1, 2014 at 7 p.m. at Sutherland Evangelical Church. Her Funeral Service will be held on July 2, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Sutherland Evangelical Church. She was predeceased by her husband Ben, her daughters Christine and Kathy, her granddaughter Bernie. She is survived by her children Virgil (Kris) Doerksen, Bev (Rick) Kellins, Ed (Donna) Doerksen, Larry (Vivian) Doerksen, Lenora (Marv) Nickel, Viola McNairn, Rita (Don) Rapko, Dale (Sheryl) Doerksen, Della (Gary) Cooper, Vern (Renatta) Doerksen, son-in-law Brian Erickson, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Justina was an incredibly wonderful and loving person who will be missed by all who knew her. Arrangements will be handled by Martens Warman Funeral Home.
