It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Loreen Trulsrud, who was surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 28, 2014. Survived by her loving husband, Raymond of 54 years; their son Craig (Joyce) Trulsrud and their children Kyla and Kelsey; their daughter Carla (Wayne) Fritz and their children Brett and Danica; their daughter Lee Anne (Kevin) Dengler and their children Kristi (Terry) Mines and grandchildren Keely and Kayla; and Karmen Dengler; brother Juel (Jean) Frydenlund; sisters Alvilde Berg, Inger Gore and Valborg Hunter; and sister in law Astrid Erixon along with many family and friends. Loreen was predeceased by her parents, Ludwig and Inga Frydenlund and her brothers Ottar and Sigvald (Marie) Frydenlund and brother in laws Knute Berg, Frank Gore and Jim Hunter. Loreen was born in Saskatoon December 30, 1937. After completing Grade 12, she attended Saskatoon Business College and worked briefly in Saskatoon before marrying Raymond on July 5, 1957. Loreen spent most of her life at the farm in South Allan until moving to St. Volodymyr in Saskatoon in 2010. Loreen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, dedicating most of her life to her family. Loreen loved the beauty of the outdoors, was an avid gardener, homemaker and helping out at the farm, wiener roasts and outdoor activities. She enjoyed being involved and headed up many community activities that included "The Happy Gang Community Association". Her family grew up in a warm and loving home and she had a flare for entertaining. She loved life and loved her friends and neighbours and their door was always open. She especially loved spending time and entertaining her grandchildren and more recently her great-grandchildren. Loreen will be deeply missed by family and friends whose lives she touched. The family thanks the dedicated Palliative Care Team and nurses at St. Paul's Hospital who have given Loreen such excellent care. The Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 4, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at McClure United Church, 4025 Taylor St. E., Saskatoon, SK.
