November 12, 1931 - November 1, 2015
Lorena (Dot) Rice passed away at St. Paul's hospital on November 1, 2015. She is lovingly survived by her husband Ken; children Deb (Ron) and their children Jill (Bob) and her son Brett, Brandi (Don) and their son Carter; Jodi (Wade) and their daughters Jessyca and Jayla; brothers Les, Jack (Arlene); sister Joanne (Gary); sister-in-law Harlean. She was predeceased by her parents George and Dora Cattell; brother Reg; sister-in-law Marge; great-granddaugter Madelyn Rael. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Asquith Baptist Church with Pastor Josh Goetz officiating. A special thank you to the nurses and staff at St. Paul's ICU for their excellent care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Asquith cemetery fund. Arrangements in care of MARTENS WARMAN FUNERAL HOME (306-934-4888).

To the Rice and Cattell's...
We was so sorry to hear the news of Dot passing away. She certainly knew how to make people feel special! I have warm childhood memories of spending time in Asquith to see the Rice and Cattell's. Even after Gramma Kay passed away we were always welcomed with open arms (by her and all of you!) May your memories of her bring you peace and comfort today, and in the days coming. We were sad to hear of Dot's passing, and sorrow with the family in their loss of this dear lady. She always looked beautiful in her matched outfits. Visits with her were a delight, laughing along with her keen sense of humour.
For Ken and family, our prayers are with you.An earthly goodbye is not easy, but we know she is waiting for our hello when we meet again in heaven.

To all of Dot's family.
I want to express my heartfelt sorrow to you all. I will continue praying for strength and peace to stand over you at this time. It's never easy to say goodbye but it does help to know where Dot is today; In Heaven with her Heavenly Father celebrating. I have many great memories of the times spent with Dot and Ken. Her laughter, her fun loving smile and her willingness to come alongside when anyone needed a helping hand will always stand out in my memories.
