Gertrude Wolfe It is with saddened hearts and loving memories that the family announces the passing of our mother, Gertrude Wolfe on Tuesday, April 20th, 2010. Mom passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Mom was born on November 1st, 1920 to Aganetha and John Buhler in Edenburg, SK. Being the eldest of 11 children, Mom learned at a very young age how to be a loving, nurturing person. Mom married Jacob Wolfe on January 24th, 1943. Together they spent thirty years loving and raising a family of six boys and five girls. The family expanded to include 22 grandkids, 16 g-grandkids and three gg-grandkids. Always a hard worker, Mom worked outside the home professionally cleaning homes and office buildings. Mom's passions in life were family (human and canine), gardening and growing beautiful flowers. Mom was predeceased by her husband, Jacob; her parents, Aganetha and John Buhler; two brothers, John and Abe; two brothers-in-law, Abe and Bill; and daughter-in-law, Dorothy. Left to cherish her memory are her children, David, Aggie (Lee), George, Justine (Doug), Betty (Leo), Willie (Sharon), Andy, Margaret (Glen), Abe (Sharon), Dan (Lesley), Laura and their families. Mom is also survived by eight brothers and sisters, Agnes, Kay, Jake, George (Kathy), Herman (Anne), Anna (Henry), Mary (Henry) and Isaac (Barb) and their families. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the Oliver Lodge Sunshine Court Staff for their loving, supportive care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Oliver Lodge Sunshine Court. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 23rd, 2010 from 7:00 9:00 p.m.. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 24th, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel of Saskatoon Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to the SASKATOON FUNERAL HOME.
