Patricia A. Cox-Fachada Patricia A. Cox-Fachada died Saturday, March 3rd in Saskatoon, SK. She was predeceased by her father, G. A. (Jerry) Cox, and is survived by her mother, Marion Cox; husband, Mark; son, Brian; two sisters, Nancy (Rob) Levack of Toronto, ON, and Libby (Peter) Mudrack, and nephews, Matthew and Michael Mudrack all of Windsor, ON. On March 5th Patricia would have been 56 years old. Patricia was born in Fergus, ON and worked throughout Canada in the hospitality industry and as an educator. She came to Saskatoon from Kenora, ON where she was the General Manager at Inn of the Woods. She began her career as an educator in Saskatoon in November, 1991 with SIAST. Patricia became the Program Head, Hotel/ Restaurant Administration at SIAST, went on to earn her Masters Degree in Education and as her passion grew for sharing knowledge and mentoring lifelong learners, she became an online Instructor with the University of Calgary. Patricia had a great passion for community service. While in Kenora, she chaired and was involved in many important community and fundraising activities. She hosted and entertained the Snowbirds for several air shows and lead acquisition of the first regional mammography capability. In Saskatoon, Patricia was on the Board of Directors of Saskatoon Convalescent Home and the Board of the Third Avenue Centre for Community Enrichment. She performed volunteer work with the Saskatoon Police Service and was a member of Third Avenue United Church. There is much more that could be written here about her achievements, accomplishments and passions but for those who knew Patricia, no additional words are necessary. She will be missed beyond comprehension by her family, friends and the husband that loved her. A springtime celebration of Patricia's life will be planned and held in Saskatoon.
