It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Leslie James Ouellette at the age of 78. At the time of his passing he was cared for by the wonderful nursing staff in palliative care at St. Paul's Hospital.
Leslie is survived by his sister Mabel; Aunt Myrtle; cousin Dennis; daughters Donna (Jeff), Penny (Tony); grandchildren Stacey (Aaron), Jamie (Travis), Laurie; great -grandson Hunter; numerous nieces; nephews; friends and family, especially his gambling partner and best friend Joe.
He was predeceased by his wife Bertha; parents Madeline & Jack; stepdad Gordon; his sister Vicky; brother Carl (Ray); brother-in- law Wilfred; Uncle Joe, Aunt Jenny, Uncle Pete, Uncle Charlie and Uncle Johnny.
Leslie was born and raised in Saskatoon where he met his wife Bertha of 56 years.
He was employed with the City of Saskatoon from 1965 until his early retirement in 1994.
Leslie enjoyed playing poker, canasta, bingo and travelling to various race tracks and casinos all over North America.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew & loved him.
At his request there will be no funeral service but family would like to invite everyone to join them for the burial of his and his wife's cremains at Woodlawn cemetery, July 14th at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon to follow at Cumfi, 315 Ave M South.
Arrangements are in care of Westwood funeral chapel.
