She and Don enjoyed many winters in Palm Springs where they were often visited by family. Don died in 1989. In 2000, she moved to Saskatoon to reside at Riverside Terrace. Margaret was always very active in her community including the Scout Mothers' Group, Figure Skating Parents' Group, Home and School, the Anglican Church choir and as librarian at Riverside Terrace.
