ROTHENBURGER, Ernie
Ernie Rothenburger of Saskatoon passed away in Royal University Hospital on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at the age of 80 years. Ernie is survived by his loving wife, Anne; three children, Terry (Pat), Don, Connie (John) Christenson; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Tina (Joe) Wagner, Tillie (Joe) Scarra, Mildred Vickaryous, Hilda Klemmer and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, John, August, Walter and George; and sister, Margerie Komili. Ernie was born March 23, 1932, in Hague District. He attended Hague School and started farming. He married Anne Pankratz on July 23, 1951 in Hague. He continued to farm at Hepburn and Hague until his retirement from farming in mid-80's and then worked as a custodian at Saskatchewan Teacher's Federation in Saskatoon, retiring in 1998. He enjoyed fishing and their cabin at Marten's Lake. He loved travelling to Texas or Arizona during the winter months. His family was the most important part of his life. In lieu of flowers donations in Ernie's memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from Park Funeral Chapel, 311 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon with Pastor Keith Pankratz officiating.
