JOYCE STOTT (nee Kimpton)
December 6, 1930 – February 18, 2013
It is with great sadness that the family of Joyce Stott announces her passing on February 18, 2013, in Dinsmore, Sask. Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Don Stott, and son Ken Stott. She is lovingly remembered by son Gerry Stott (Joanne), son Ray Stott (Twyla) and daughter Sheila Boklaschuk (Wayne); sister Shirley Bristow, brother Elliot (Rita), brother Ken (Maxine), brother Bill and brother Ray (Hilda); sister-in- law Shirley Kimpton her seven grandchildren, Shannon Boklaschuk (Jayce Ollenberger), Carrie Boklaschuk (Bryce Bahrey), Jade Boklaschuk (Jennifer Christal), Jill Brown (Jarid), Kristen Stott, Cameron Stott and Torey Stott (Nicole Touet); and her great- grandson, Ed Bahrey. Joyce was born to Lawrence and Sadie Kimpton on December 6, 1930, in Saskatoon, Sask. On October 4, 1950, she married Don Stott. They settled in Radisson, Sask., where they raised their four children. Together Don and Joyce operated a Red and White grocery store in Radisson. After Don's passing in 1976, Joyce continued to run the business. Joyce was very active in her community and was a longtime member of the Royal Purple organization. In 1989, she purchased the Dinsmore Hotel and moved to Dinsmore, Sask. She operated the hotel with her son, Gerry, and his wife, Joanne, until her retirement. She recently moved into the Dinsmore Health Care Center, where she passed away. Joyce's passions were her family and watching sports, such as baseball, curling and hockey. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Dinsmore Health Foundation. As per Joyce's wishes, there will be no funeral service, with a family burial to be scheduled for a later date.
