March 11, 1958 - April 5, 2013
Lana passed away due to complications of Leukemia after a two year long battle at the age of 55. She left us peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on April 5, 2013. The strength and determination Lana had displayed over the last two years has inspired many people and left a lasting impression on those who were touched by her. Lana will forever be remembered in the hearts of her husband of 35 years, Donavin, her four children Derek Reding of Saskatoon, SK, Tyler Reding of Cudworth, SK, Chandra (Mitch) Gusikoski of Viscount, SK, and Shelby Reding of Saskatoon, SK. She will also be remembered by her parents Alphonse and Margaret (Merkosky) Schlosser, her siblings Kim (Paddy) Schlosser of Nanaimo, BC, Kyle Schlosser of Calgary, AB, Harley (Lori) Schlosser of Cudworth, SK, and Laurel (Jeff) Frie of Saskatoon, SK. Also left to cherish her memory are her Mother-in-law Lucille (Medernach) Reding, her brother-in-law Brendan (Sandy) Reding and her sister-in-law Lorelei (Darryl) Bender. Lana was predeceased by her grandparents William and Margaret (Schriml) Schlosser and Nick and Veronica (Novecosky) Merkosky as well as her father-in-law Edwin Reding. Lana grew up in the Cudworth area where she met and married the love of her life, Donavin. In their 35 years of marriage their greatest accomplishment was raising four wonderful children whom were their pride and joy. Lana's favourite memories came from vacationing, whether it be to the mountains with family or exploring many beaches with her beloved husband. Due to the courage and strong will that Lana showed, she was able to experience two of the most memorable events in her life. In December 2011 she enjoyed a Christmas vacation in Jamaica with family. She then spent the following year helping plan a wedding and in November 2012 walked her daughter Chandra down the aisle. Lana most enjoyed the priceless things in life such as bright flowers, beautiful prairie sunsets, and spending time with family and friends. The Prayers Service will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Both Services will be held at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Cudworth with Rev. Fr. Denis Phaneuf as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations in memory of Lana may be directed to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Marc Blondeau of Kushneryk Funeral Service, Wakaw, SK. 306-233-4403
