Anna Wudrick, age 87, passed away peacefully on February 22nd, at Sherbrooke Community Centre in Saskatoon. She was predeceased by her parents Hilde and Henry Bakker and husband, William Wudrick. Anna is survived by her brother Henry Bakker (Ethel) and her three children: Georgia (Ray) Davis grandchildren, Lori (Karim) Jetha, Jeff (Melissa); great-grandchildren, Noah and Sophie from British Columbia, David (Brenda Udahl) Wudrick from Regina, Lyle (Bernice) Wudrick, grandchildren, Larissa Wudrick (David Martens) and Andrew from Saskatoon and many nieces and nephews. Anna was born June 9, 1925 in Terwispel, Osterland, Netherlands. Anna immigrated to Canada with her mother and brother Henry on December 1, 1928. Henry Bakker Sr. immigrated earlier to find employment. Anna's family moved around but finally settled and farmed east of Saskatoon. Anna and William were married on April 6th, 1945 and farmed north east of Saskatoon. Anna was active at St. Paul's Bergheim Church ELW, taught Vacation Bible School and cooked for many fowl suppers. After many years on the farm Bill and Anna moved to Saskatoon. Anna had a busy life working at Sears, golfing and doing many types of needlework. She was adventurous and travelled often with family and friends. Anna was proud of her Friesian heritage and could quickly switch into her native tongue with a joke or a song. Anna was always a kind and gracious lady. Anna a cherished sister, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother will be greatly missed by her family. A Memorial Service is being held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 20th, at Windsor Chapel, 704 Windsor St. (corner of 8th Avenue N and Windsor Street). In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of choice or Sherbrooke Community Centre or St. Volodymyr Villa.
